Redeveloping the Iconic Hotel Victoria: A New Vision for Newquay

Welcome to the official website for the proposed redevelopment of the Hotel Victoria in Newquay. The Nicolas James Group, renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation in the hospitality sector, has acquired this historic landmark hotel and neighbouring buildings including Senor Dicks, Bertie’s nightclub and The Griffin Inn. It plans to redevelop it under its prestigious NICI brand – bringing a new 4/5-star hotel to the town.

Our plans include significant investment to refurbish the Hotel Victoria, bringing it up to a 4/5-star standard and creating a vibrant, contemporary destination for guests and residents alike.

CONSULTATION

We have carried out a consultation on our plans to redevelop the Hotel Victoria.

The consultation closed on the 7th July 2025.

We are now reviewing the feedback received in advance of submitting a planning application.
